Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has said he has moved on from his marriage to actress Annie Idibia, stressing that his focus is now on his personal growth and music career.
The award-winning singer made the disclosure during a recent interview with broadcast journalist Seun Okinbaloye, where he addressed life after the separation and his current state of mind.
According to 2Baba, he is deliberately concentrating on moving forward and staying productive.
“I have moved on from my ex-wife, Annie Idibia. I dey do my thing, dey go,” he said.
2Baba and Annie Idibia began their relationship in the early 2000s and rose to become one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity couples. They welcomed their first daughter, Isabella, in 2008, got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2012, and later tied the knot the same year. Their white wedding was held in Dubai in 2013.
In 2014, the couple had their second daughter, Olivia.
In January 2025, 2Baba shocked fans after announcing via social media that he and Annie had been separated for some time and had already filed for divorce. The announcement triggered widespread reactions online.
Following the disclosure, Annie Idibia reportedly withdrew from social media and deleted several posts amid the intense public attention.
Months later, videos and photos surfaced online showing 2Baba at a traditional wedding ceremony with Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.
The development sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms, with many users questioning the timing of the new marriage, coming shortly after his separation from Annie Idibia.
